they don’t love it as much as they love their fuzzy wubba but it’s a great size for my 2 rough-coat collies and my sheltie. disappointing kong product. claims to be made with durable, ballistic nylon for added toughness, reinforced fabric and stitching make this a long-lasting, favorite toy. my 60lb black lab has a special talent for destroying any squeaky toy in under 48 hours. we’ve had this one for about 2 or 3 months and it’s still going strong she loves it. she loves squeaking it and playing tug of war equally. he uses his nose to make it squeak the concept of this toy is great, but it didn’t stand a chance with my moderate chewing jack russell. he has only had this toy for 2 days with only a few hours of total play before he completely chewed through the top part of the toy. it used to be you bought kong and you expected it to last for your dogs. i have 2 small puppies and kong is not living up to its name any longer. i got this toy for my 9 month old lab, and she ripped it within 2 minutes of me giving it to her. it was still safe to play with but within 1 day it was torn to shreds.

my dog is not an aggressive chewer, so maybe be wary of that if that’s the case with your dog. he finds it in the water and then waggles (pretty sure that’s the technical term) it around in his mouth. it’s held up for quite a few beach trips and is still going strong! we got the large, he’s 55 lbs, and it’s perfect. i’ve never had a kong product my dogs could destroy that fast. never even made it to the pool. each individual leg came off, the body, the two balls were out, the strap holding everything in…all of it toast. however, it’s not a toy to be chewed on like the original wubba toy! this is more to throw in the water or snow and for them to fetch! this is made out of cheap material and ripped the first day.
