this grant is designed to support primary research and is available to all ucsf medical center career nurses employed at or greater than 60%. the institute for nursing excellence is pleased to announce that we are continuing our international nursing fellow program with the nursing department from hong kong sanatorium & hospital (hksh). part of this program includes educational programming related to ebp and part of it includes having experienced clinical nurses from hksh visit ucsf throughout the year to learn from our practice and provide insight to how nursing practice is conducted at their facility in hong kong. on behalf of the clinical inqueri council, i am pleased to let our ucsf nursing colleagues know that robin bisgaard, rn, msn, a cn iv in the intensive care nursery has been awarded the 2017 synergy grant for her research project, “parenting in the icn with mficare.” robin is collaborating with linda franck, rn, phd, faan, professor in the school of nursing. the joint ucsf medical center-school of nursing synergy research grant supports ucsf medical center career clinical nurses performing research with a school of nursing faculty member sponsor.
the ucsf medical center clinical inqueri council, in collaboration with the school of nursing, is pleased to offer the joint ucsf medical center-school of nursing synergy research grant. the competitively reviewed synergy grant is offered to support projects not funded by another source and clinical nurses in performing research with a school of nursing faculty member sponsor. the annual ucsf medical center clinical inqueri nursing research conference provides nurses with a full day of learning and engagement regarding a variety of approaches to clinical inquiry, highlighting projects at ucsf. the conference is intended to stimulate thought and discussion by showcasing the everyday impact these clinical inquiry activities can have at the bedside and beyond. program highlights include keynote speakers offering an engaging presentation about an aspect of inquiry, evidence based practice fellows projects, joanna briggs institute clinical fellows projects, poster sessions, and breakout mini sessions.
