if your doggo plays too rough with this platypus, you’ll find a surprise down under: two squeaky bonus toys! i wanted a durable plushy toy for my small dog and wasn’t able to tell how big this toy was based on reviews and pictures. she loves this toy so far. i’m so glad to hear that the size of this toy works very well for your pup! this is my second one as the first one finally gave up the ghost after a year and a half, 1 terrier and 1 gsd puppy later, and after 4 months it’s still almost as new. the only thing i wish was that it’s stuffing was natural cotton not artificial plastic fabric as it occasionally gets injested while they pull out the inside toys.
we appreciate your feedback and thanks for thinking about bark when it comes to spoiling your pup! out of all the boxes we received this toy was in one of her first boxes. the squeak is gone and so are the flippers, but it is always in her mouth. really any plush toy . its also pretty sturdy for a plush versus most barkshop toys but that really isn’t a concern for us . side note : the barrel squeaker in it is stiff and at first i thought my girl would not like it but she has worked on it so she is able to squeak it which is important to her. it’s holding up well and it is really difficult to squeak, which is great for my sanity,
with its water-proof, floating design, it’s perfect for water-loving pups and has squeakers inside to make playtime even more exciting. because it’s built with heavy-duty, ultra-tough nylon with triple-stitching and rip-resistant webbing along the edges, it can stand up to even the most energetic pups. this is a great toy for an aggressive chewer. i do not know why i need to write 50 words for a review of this product when i can review it in 18 words. loved it so much i chewed through the triple stitched and super tough webbing, and ripped out the squeaker and some stuffing in one night. still love playing with it, but mom doesn’t let me have it unsupervised.
and this has helped bring our izzy girl back around to being a playful 10 year girl. she only had it about an hour, did not chew it – – but she shakes them – – the legs frayed from the body at seams from shaking – – cannot fit it under my sewing machine to re-inforce seams, so this is a total fail for us. he is a big boy and an aggressive chewer but this toy stands up to rough play in the house. we have not tried it outside or for water play yet. it’s a good size for him and he looks totally silly running around the house with “platy” in his mouth. this one seems to be up to the challenge.
