this litter box has a unique hood that swivels down, transforming it into a handy litter chute—this allows you to pour new litter into the bottom of the pan, without the mess. i really like this litter box. what i found is to make sure the screen is in place before rolling it back, this will cause litter to fall out. i did have to use duct tape on the bent part of the sifter as the edges started to wear, but over all this box is a winner. i do take it apart every week or two to clean the sides of the box where feces may stick, but i would do that with any box. i had to force the clips to snap into place, the cut out for the removable drawer had raw edges. my cat is a pretty big cat, but she could hardly fit inside it and considering the grate took up about 1/3 of the litter box it was small. easy to put together! easy to clean! it was so hard to keep up with 2 kittens that turned into cats seemingly overnight and 2 boxes that were always full!!
i purchased this i thought it was going to be big enough for my adult cat and i was looking forward to just being able to roll it however with putting the device in to be able to roll it to separate the letter from the used letter it made the space too small for my cat to get into use so i had to take this piece out of it and i am not able to roll it so i’m using it as a regular litter box very nice , seems like good quality. the 1st time i’d tried the slide to add kitty litter i guess not all the litter had dumped into the box so when i lifted it back up it dumped on my floor.. i will have to watch that closer 🙂 i love this litter box and my 4 cats do too! it’s so easy and no litter mess. i got this for my cat since she has arthritis and has started peeing outside of the litter box because she can’t squat for too long. she’s a pretty small cat and she had to get out of the litter box in order to scratch at the litter because she had no room. i really wanted to love this. i was highly skeptical that this would actually work. with multiple cats, i feel like i’m always cleaning the litter box. makes clean up a breeze and my boyfriend who gets nauseated trying to clean the boxes loves it, now we can both take part in the job we’ve used this box before and we’ve loved it! easy to clean, it’s covered, which the cat loves and it doesn’t look bad in a room.
