i got this crate for a great price from amazon’s warehouse due to the box being damaged. i love the fact that it comes with a divider already since my puppy is way too small for the whole crate and i didn’t want to give him space to urinate or defecate when left alone. the crate itself is rusted and i got my finger stuck multiple times trying to assemble. the only concern i have is that it has an upper and lower latch instead of a center placed one on the door. i have a super-senior dog who digs underneath her blankets, so it’s good to know she won’t slip on the surface of the tray once she’s underneath her bedding.5) it is relatively lightweight for its size and quality. she’s on the smaller end of breed standard but is really tall at the withers and i was having issues finding a crate tall enough that wasn’t a 48”. if i need another i will happy get this one again.because of the way the latches are shaped this would not be good for a dog that isn’t crate trained yet or has separation anxiety. this would be really handy if one had a puppy and wanted to use the crate for house breaking purpose. if using for a dog the latch is very easy to open so i wouldn’t recommend it. it did not open and go up as it should have because a number of the sides were bent and needed to be unbent in order to get it up. i feel like this was a good price for the quality of the crate. so i just want to give it a five star review because the box came and everything was fine and i was like whatever let me wrap them for christmas you know?. she ran right in to it and stayed in it even with the door left open. i bought this for a dog that will mature at 25-30 pounds and expect it to contain her safely for naps, when we leave, etc. naturally, being for a bunny, the cage does not have to be as strong as it would for a dog, so i can not attest to that. this crate is inexpensive enough that i now have two of these so i don’t have to move one around a lot. the downside is that it didn’t take long for my him to figure out how to unlatch the bottom of the side door and get his head stuck. i would by this brand again i got this crate disregarding the negative reviews; thinking they were just freak accidents and that it wouldn’t happen to me. its really large, big enough for my older kids and the dog to sit in it at one time. the reason for giving it only 3 stars is because it appears to be bent and does not fit flat on my floor. i put it behind the couch and draped a light blanket over it to give him a cozy safe feeling. although he is trained, i leave it out for him because he likes it so much.the difference is that we brought oliver home as a puppy and crate-trained him from the beginning, but we started with a smaller crate. the build quality of the crate is great and feels like it will last a long time. i bought it for my then 8 week old yorkie and the 24″ is too big for him hence he used it to sleep and potty.

set up was easy, and the side door is a plus. there were days it was so bad that i had to remove her from the house because her peeing and pooping on the floor were one thing, but her incessant barking and whimpering were too much for my bedridden husband to bear, even when she was in a larger crate with our other two dogs. it appears to be solidly welded and the finish is good. this crate is a great value for the average dog! the crate is also a cute color and the divider is a great added convenience. i also suspect that with there only being door locks on one side, and not also on the top like the one i had previously, there is going to be some escape issues in our future. i rescue cats and i needed the crate for a newcomer so i struggled to get it together which was much more difficult than the first one i purchased from this same company. i can tell you that it is absolutely impossible for a strong 5;8″ woman to get this front section separated from the rest of the structure and thus to fold the thing down. i bought a new pad for the crate at the store, and it cost more than this crate from amazon. i’ve had to fold it and move it once now and it was a pain in the butt, i hope i don’t have to do it again, and if i do it will be when i sell this crate. and it comes with a handle not shown in the pictures so that is good to know. i also like that there is a handle that comes with this kneel that you could attached to the top of the cage for carrying. i haven’t fold the kennel so i don’t know how easy it would be to collapse it for storage. i have a pocket of bandaids and neosporin in my bag – why, because i love the crate but boy have i scratched myself gazillion times. i just set it up and the issue is shown in the pictures. it allowed us to have a litter box in the cage with food and water and a separate place for the kittens to sleep. i’m sure in the long run this wouldn’t matter, but it doesn’t speak to a well developed product.the next and bigger issue is the divider. i actually decided to stop using harnesses for them, and just keep them in the kennel, because they kept trying to chew the harnesses off. i was closing the kennel one day and one of the sharp points actually gave me a little cut on my hand. i put a towel/blanket under the door thinking that would resolve it but instead my pup just wants to play with the towel/blanket to pull it out. the tray is a nice quality, removable, and easy to clean. if you have a dog that will not be contained, this crate can get bent / ruined and a much more expensive option may be the way to go. i have had this for less than a month and do not carry the puppies in the crate. it is also easy to fold down and move around the house.unfortunately the edges on the outside of the crate are sharp. this is the perfect size for travel for a large dog, by large i mean between 40-90 pounds, they have just enough room to lay flat out or get up & turn around.
