the kong ball is the best bouncing and most durable ball on the market. the perfect toy for the dog that loves to fetch and chew. although he wishes they would make more soft balls with the nubbies on them as thay are really his favorites. i thought i could out her food in it too, but that was my mistake for not reading the description of it. i can’t speak for how well it holds the treat sticks as we don’t have any at the moment. these balls are by far the best ones i’ve ever purchased . i get the smaller one for my female & medium / large for my male . these are excellent rubber balls for dogs! bought two years ago (still have), and added to supply. i ordered this online and thought that it would be more bouncy.
i understand it’s for treats, i just thought it would be not so dense. it could also injure your pup if they’re the kind to start running before you’ve thrown the ball like my pup does. they really hold up to being chewed on and played with daily. we have dogs that love to get toys then take them apart, well we found with this ball they cannot tear it up. we have bought seemingly every “tough chewer” toy out there and they don’t last more than a few hours, at most days, in our house. when i saw this, i thought it was too good to be true. not a knick on it and he chews on it basically all day. we have 13 big dogs – these are their favorite (and durable) for bounce/chase/fetch/retrieve (and one chocolate retriever who loves to gnaw them). we have about 40 kong/competitor and nylabones – our dogs choose these over the small kong balls, the original kongs, and the competitors’ football, donut, throw-stick, etc. it’s especially fun when our 11yo golden oldie gleefully intercepts or outruns the 2yo german shepherd.
the kong squeezz ball has a recessed squeaker that gives the safest and funnest squeak of any toy out there. it does have a hole that goes through the middle but that’s no problem. one of the few balls that he’ll play with on his own instead of constantly wanting me to toss it for him. i ordered this for my 4 month old morkiepoo. i had to get rid of it because she was ingesting it while chewing on the ball. i have a 2 yr. old aussie mix that destroys all her toys in 20-30 minutes, if i’m lucky, trying to get the squeaker and stuffing out. she has a number of squeaky kong tennis balls she loves but she likes to carry them around and eventually they do stop squeaking and then she will squeeze them until they burst at the seams. i’m not sure she likes the plastic as much as the fuzzy tennis balls but she is playing with it. my girls love them the reason i bought more, i only had one and i had 3 dogs very spoiled dogs they all want what the other has!
we have had the one for about a year and a half! these products are as durable as the original kong balls but aren’t as hard so our pup doesn’t have crooked teeth 3 dogs and they play with all the stuffed toys and balls. i have a dog that weighs over 100 lbs and is a big boy. will just start buying these balls at the local pet store i have a pitsky that just turned one, and when i tell you she chews apart every toy she has, i mean every.single.toy. if you have a heavy chewer that destroys everything, this is the toy for them. the only thing i don’t like is the constant squeaking when she’s chewing on it, but since it has outlasted her destructiveness, i give it a solid 5/5 stars. i love the squeak, bounce and the size of these kong balls. this ball squeaks as well as bounces and rolls not in a straight line, my 17 pound chi/doxy loves chasing it throughout the house! it’s small so it often rolls under the couch but i put a long broom handle under there to block it from rolling too far so he can reach it even with his little legs!
