there will also be a variety of other workouts and activities done throughout the semester that will contribute to the development of an intense repertoire of various exercises. in addition, students will have to monitor their eating habits, and develop a weight training program that they can use outside of class (p.e. it is extremely important that students are in class and properly suited for participation each day. the following are a deviance from the daily norm: students may only make up participation points that are a result of excused absences. in addition to the daily participation points, 15% of the total class grade will be awarded for setting realistic goals, tracking progress throughout the semester, logging physical activity done outside of class, as well as keeping a nutrition log throughout the quarter. each test is worth 100 points, and in total is worth 15% of the grade.
students must create their own weight training workout plan for them to follow when they are not in this class. principle and must use knowledge acquired from muscle anatomy and physiology to explain why they are choosing to do the workouts they chose. appropriate pe attire includes: for the safety of yourself and others, jewelry and watches are not to be worn during class. wearing jewelry will result in a loss of participation points and prevent the student from being allowed to participate. using an electronic device inappropriately will cause the student to lose 3 days’ worth of daily participation points. if not, those points are lost and the student’s grade is affected. if a student does not suit-up, the result is a loss of half the daily points (5), and these points cannot be made up… bring your clothes, suit-up and participate every day, and make up your absences!
