these balls don’t last forever but they are a perfect consistency for my dog and he loves the bacon scent my pup loves the hartz dura play squeaky balls, however, since they are secured to the package with 4 plastic ties, this creates 4 holes for his teeth to enter the ball. i have a 9 month old gsd and she is about 80 lbs. they start to flood up a bit now after she chews them. to be honest nothing lasts with gsd pups and i am glad for these. before i found this large size i bout 3 of the smaller ones. he takes them in and out, throws them in the pool and they keep right in squeaking! we have a large dog that likes squeaky toys – he destroys a normal tennis ball in less than 1/2 hour. my younger dog did get a hold of it and ripped it open so i threw it away, so i wouldn’t recommend this to aggressive chewers. i’ve gotten two of these, a large and a medium, both for the same dog, and both times we got the same result. she still plays with it, and enjoys chomping down on it, but i wish the squeaker could have lasted a little long.
