he recently launched his own site, and i was wondering if getting his 22$ workout program would be actually worth it, or if it would just be a waste most likely isn’t worth it. i love his stuff, and he’s incredible, but i highly suspect that he’s not the best guy to learn the particulars of programming from, and the rr is almost certainly better. he just doesn’t strike me as a guy who has nerded out over the details and whose experience can be applied to people with considerably less talent. i’ve always just looked for tough exercises and did them until i could do a tougher one. i was just curious because he seems to get great strength results (i don’t do it for looks or for size, just the strength aspect really) and i want to get similar strengths, of course you can get the feel of it if you look at the “free” beginner routine 1. variations of exercises (push / pull in this case, as it’s about getting mu), a lot of (super)sets, low reps, long rest. i paid for access because i wanted to support him, but won’t be using the workouts.
yea, i looked at the free videos already. the beginner level isn’t really that hard for me, so i dunno if the rest of the program is just a really easy thing or if it gets harder i bought it a week ago. there’s no magic in there that you won’t get from other programmes – a lot of pull ups and push ups/dips in superset format. it’ll definitely make you strong in pull ups and push ups but it may not necessarily give you the mu. there is a bit of transition work but you can find more and better elsewhere. this has been the most hopeful reply so far! it’s awesome he was really nice to you about getting the program worked out for you his program won’t beat the rr plus he might be better at performing than teaching.
