my history with dog training began over a decade ago with my pet “sluggo”, a siberian husky from the local animal protective league. needless to say, the next several years were spent in disappointment and frustration due to the obvious needs of a siberian husky that were not being met. i did everything wrong in my approach to “sluggo”, and i paid the price: chewed furniture, soiled carpets, “dog at large” fines from the dog warden to name just a few. thanks to “sluggo”, i began a quest of learning about dog psychology and, to date, i am still learning.
