the kong cozies are cute, soft and cuddly plush toys made with an extra layer of material, so they’re extra tough. bought kong toys because they have good rep. this is a medium sized 1 year old terrier mix pup, he has destroyed all his toys. the kong toys were no different. he does not likethe hard solid chew toys so i am going to try the flat, no stuffing ones. it is the perfect size to carry around in her mouth and she moves this alligator from room to room and often sleeps with it. that is until i stumble over it enough times and put it away for a break. my mini bernedoodle chewed thru the 1st and 2nd alligator that we bought. i even tried to sew it back up on my sewing machine but he destroyed it again. we had the kong bailey blue dog and thought this one would be as sturdy, but the seam going down the crocodile’s stomach came apart rather quickly. i’m going to repair it, because it’s otherwise one of our pup’s favorite toys.
i bought this with the assumption it was higher quality and less likely to get chewed through. i got this in the most recent order and gave it to him last night. he normally is glued to my side but he spent about 30 minutes going completely nuts, entertaining himself, and chasing and barking at this thing all over the living room before he hopped on the couch and passed out. i ordered this thinking kong was a tuff enough toy for my great dane puppy. he destroyed it in 30 mins.. the one good part of this toy is the squeaker is well protected from swallowing enclosed within a sewn in pouch. kong product expected it to last just a but longer than your usual run of the mill stuffy! but evicerated in less than 1 hr! well this one is terrible! i can barley get it to squeak and only have trying many times! this toy did not stand up to my two young pups.
