guess i have to spend 100s of dollars for good clippers. so we tried cutting it first with scissors and then clippers same results(bogged down) i’m really not sure what kind of hair they are to cut, but not yorkie or cocker .. hope this helps someone before it cost you.. don’t like it the only way i can get it to work is not to use any attachments.and where the attachments fit at the top has to big of opening and hair gets stuck in it. i really like the way this clipper fits in your hand and the grip is nice, but the housing does not lie flush with the clipper attachment and hair gets inside the housing when it is used. you have to keep taking the clipper head off to clean it out. on the other hand, i do recommend chewy because they take great care to make sure every purchase is right for their customers and their furry family members! this is the most piece of junk cutters i’ve ever bought!
