at carrie’s dog day care each member of our team is passionate about working with dogs, led by carrie evans, a full member of the association of pet behaviour counsellors, and clinical animal behaviourist with the animal behaviour and training council. carrie has been a full member of the association of pet behaviour counsellors for over 30 years, helping owners who are experiencing behaviour and training problems with their dog. carrie opened carrie’s dog day care (formally cleveland canine’s crèche) in january 2008. she is not only passionate about providing puppies and pet dogs (and their owners) with a unique, professional day care service but the development of her day care team. when a permanent position arose in october 2018, gina applied for the position and was offered a role as day care assistant. gina successfully completed a level 3 qualification in dog day care in the spring of 2022. ryan joined the team in november 2021. from the onset his passion for working with dogs was clearly evident, supervising the dogs during play and enrichment and ensuring the dogs engage appropriately. ryan has recently successfully completed a foundation course in dog grooming.
toni has a keen interest in dog behaviour and training and has recently successfully completed her level 3 dog day care qualification. jess is presently under taking a level 3 in animal care at askham bryan college in middlesbrough. libby joined the team in february 2022. she enjoys delivering the daily enrichment activities and ensuring all the new pups on the block go home with a pawsome paw painting when they join day care. courtney gained a degree in fine art, from teesside university in 2015. however, she had always wanted to work with animals, so in september 2017, she decided to follow her passion for animals and joined the team here at carrie’s dog day care starting a new exciting journey. during 2019 courtney was given the amazing opportunity to undertake training to become a dog stylist. we have a fabulous team of volunteers to help make your dogs experience here a great one!

i have found this service very convenient for my rather complex work schedule as a nurse. they took amazing care of my girl while we were in town for winter sports. my only regret is that they don’t have a location in my hometown. i’m really happy with the care that was provided to my three dog children for a night while i stayed in truckee. i chose this one because of the availability of my dogs staying together in a suite rather than sleeping or staying in a kennel. these are my only children and i love them dearly, and i appreciate how the staff responded to that!
