almost home requires proof of vaccination (to include completion of initial series for puppies-usually 4 months) for rabies, distemper/parvo, & bordetella as a required vaccine. feel free to either email a copy of your dog’s current vaccination records to us, ask your veterinarian to email a copy to us, or bring in the vaccination records upon your first evaluation appointment. just call us at 707-823-home (707-823-4663) between 7am – 6:30pm monday through friday and one of our friendly team members will assist you.
we’re excited to welcome all our customers back inside the building for drop offs and pick ups for all boarding animals and our dog day out friends. as always, please be respectful of the other clients and animals by locking all retractable leashes and having your pet safely on a leash or in a carrier. there are 3 ways your vet can vaccinate your dog against bordetella (canine cough), but not all are the same and not all of them protect your dog against the other respiratory illnesses mentioned above.
our goal at almost home is for all our dogs to remain protected and healthy, therefore, we are highly recommending you to ask for the 3-way intranasal vaccine that protects against more than bordetella, but also the other similar respiratory viruses: parainfluenza and adenovirus type 2. we want them to stay protected. however, there is a sunday pick-up fee (per “family”) instead of charging for sunday night. sunday pick-ups are by appointment only and a $15 pick-up fee applies.
