1.what should i pack for clothes for the training? i have one pair of slacks and a blazer, that’s it. and where do i find the comfiest and long lasting shoes. here’s what i did and you can take it or leave it, but i’m more a light packer, practical type of girl. i packed a couple pairs of slacks, one pair of jeans, and a skirt. you get two casual days, so that’s where the jeans and t shirts came in. no one will care and that’s less laundry for you to do. i brought one pair of black flats that i got from walmart and tennis shoes (casual days only). i got my flats for like $5 and they’ve lasted to this day. for studying.. bring flash cards, a 2-2 1/2 inch binder, black or blue pens, highlighter, and maybe some cheap scissors. you’ll thank me later for the scissors. you can go to the store. we had two people sent home the second to last day for stupid stupid stuff.
i’m i have one more question now that clothes aren’t an issue. i have yet to see or hear anything in the training packet or emails. just dress like a generic professional. edit: also i’d wager that’s about the time slc starts to get cold at night. i’d get another pair of slacks. and maybe a couple of blouses. be aware of skirts though, a lot of females got write ups from having their skirt ride up to an inappropriate length. flats are definitely acceptable just make sure the material is the same without the entire shoe, i bought some cute heels that were like a glossy leather and a matte leather, while they were ok in training they are not okay to wear with the uniform 🙁 thank you! i wasnt aware of such a tiny detail, slacks will be a the big issue though. the shoes i own are clark’s, earth, sofft and skypro. does anyone who has been to training recently still have (or remember) the basic dress code? just black and white? do shirts have to have a collar?
